Ethiopia Geta Bore Co-op
Single-Origin
Washed / Extended Fermentation Process
Altitude: 1,990 to 2,100 m
Light/Medium Roast
Tasting Notes: Floral, Apricot, Cocoa
New arrival! We’re psyched to introduce our latest Ethiopian offering, this one NOT from the Yirgacheffe region, but instead to the northwest from the lesser known Jimma zone. The Geta Bore Co-op has only 75 members, and is part of the larger Kata Muduga Union of western Ethiopia. Joining the larger union gives Geta Bore members access to training, and also a better payment structure to ensure their viability of their farms.
We tried several coffees from Geta Bore Co-op, and enjoyed them immensely! This particular offering is a washed process, which was given an extended soaking time in order to allow some fermentation of the beans before their final cleaning.
We found the ideal roast is a lighter-medium. In the cup you’ll find nice florality, along with notes of apricot and cocoa. Enjoy!
